Entry to Canada and Access to the Conference Venue

Several major North American and international hubs offer direct flights to Québec City Jean-Lesage International Airport (YQB), including Dallas, Newark/JFK, Philadelphia, Chicago, Paris, Toronto, and Vancouver.

1. From Québec City Jean-Lesage International Airport (YQB) to the Convention Center

  • Travel time: ~20 minutes by car (recommended)

  • Taxi/Limousine: Info & booking

  • Car rental: Info & booking

  • By bus:

    1. Take the RTC bus 80 from the airport (Aérogare bus stop) to Place Jacques-Cartier (Dorchester bus stop). Estimated time: 55 minutes.

    2. From  From Place Jacques-Cartier, walk 20 minutes or transfer to a local bus (10 minutes) in direction to Place d’Youville. The concention center is a short walk from Place d’Youville or the Saint-Roch district.

2. From Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL) to the Convention Center

  • By car: ~3 hours drive; car rental

  • By bus:

    1. Take the 747 Express Bus (24/7 service, 45–70 minutes) from YUL to the Gare d’autocars de Montréal (downtown bus station).

    2. From there, take an Orléans Express bus to downtown Québec City (~3h15). Advance ticket purchase recommended.

⚠️ Please note: No shuttle service will be provided between airports, hotels, and the Convention Center.

Visa application

A valid passport and a Canadian visa  or electronic travel athorization (eTA) are mandatory for entry to Canada. For more information, visit the IRCC website .
To check if you need a visa or eTA to travel to Canada  visit the Visas, permits and immigration site from the Government of Canada.
If in doubt, please contact respective embassy in your country to inquire about the requisite documentation for visa issuance. It is strongly advised to initiate the visa application process at least three months before your departure to Canada, as the processing time may vary.

The secretariat will issue official invitation letters upon request. These invitations are intended to assist prospective attendees in securing funding or acquiring visas. It is important to note that such invitations do not constitute a commitment on the part of the organizers to provide financial support.

Traveler’s Essentials

  • Currency: Canadian Dollar (CAD).

  • Language: French is the primary language in Quebec, but English is widely understood in the hospitality sector.

  • Weather: Expect seasonally appropriate guidance here (to be updated closer to the conference).

  • Tip: Tipping is customary in Canada. In restaurants, a 15–20% tip is standard.
